Well done to all the Weng Chun fighters who competed in the German Sanda championships in Gevelsberg last week. 12 fighters went to the 13th german championships in tradtional kung fu and brought back 10 medals.

HUGE congratulations to all the following:

New German Champions: 6 Gold: Sven Morgenroth, Ismail Göksu, Katrine Wind, Frank Hösch, Max Richter, Christopher Then, 3 Silver: Joshua Bodirsky, Kadri Carikci, Sebastian Mehler, 1 Bronze: Henrik Sprechler.

Bruce Valentine and his assistant instructor Jelle Van Der Wind were in the Weng Chun International HQ in Bamberg, Germany to train privately with their sifu GM Andreas Hoffmann for 4 days. Bruce went through Sap Yat Kuen wooden dummy form, Kiu Sao, Chi Sao and Jelle went through the base instructor programme.

Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann has just posted part 1 of 3 parts video entitled "Fuqing".

Southern Shaolin is the birthplace of "Weng Chun", "Wing Tsun", "Wing Chun", Hung Gar, and Choy Lay Fut etc. The first video is about the Southern Shaolin temple in Fuqing. In 2009 Grandmaster Andreas Hoffmann, holder of the unbroken lineage of Weng Chun Kung Fu came back with his students to the birthplace of his art.

Our last regular session before Christmas/New Year will be on Monday 21st December. We’ll then be closed from Wednesday 23rd December to Monday 4th January.

Our regular timetable starting again from the 4th January.

Private lessons are still available until 29th December.

On the 5th December, there is no normal training, because of the seminar which is taken place from 12:30 pm and end at 18:00. Everybody is welcome to attend the seminar on the day.

And on the 19th of December, Mulberry Sport Center is closed for the day, thus there will not be a class. But we will meet up outside the Rowans Leisure Complex at 14:30 for our annual Christmas lunch. For further info about the Christmas lunch, please check out our Facebook page.

For those who only attend Saturday classes, you can come on either Wednesday or Monday to make up for the missing lessons.

In the article the Grandmaster talks about the history of Weng Chun kung fu and the 18 kiu sao concepts.

The old Benny Meng's article for Kung Fu and Tai Chi Magazine about the Weng Chun 6 1/2 point principles were also uploaded to the website as well.

We try to update our website once a year with a new design. Not a lot of people like the old theme, so we decided to go back to our first website and just updated it a little, and as this is the result.
